Example: Individual Assessment

A client needs multiple perspectives

To collect information from a variety of perspectives to broaden my client's view of the issues at hand.

Approaches:

  • Discussions with you. The most valuable source of assessment information comes from your own insights. I will help you to reflect on your observations from new perspectives which will point you to new strategies for success.
  • Profiles of leadership styles and preferencesThese are usually in a multiple-choice format and may be taken on line or in a paper-and-pencil format.
  • 360-degree feedback.  Brief on-line surveys are completed by people who you work with -- subordinates, peers and superiors.
  • Confidential interviews.  One-on-one interviews with people in your organization.  These are usually done in the context of a team or organizational assessment and provide valuable information on the issues you wish to understand.
  • Shadowing. I follow you through your work day as a "fly on the wall." This helps me to understand your work situation and to identify specific examples that we can discuss in our sessions.
