Example: Global Study of Firm Culture

Business Problem

Senior partners desired to identify and promote the core values that made the the then 70-year old partnership one of the big six accounting firms.


Solution

I was asked to served as an external auditor of the firm's internal review of its corporate culture and, later, to assist in the analysis of worldwide interview data and the development of recommendations for sustaining and improving that culture.


Results

A series of products were distributed worldwide including:
  • A description of the twelve core values identified in the study
  • An analysis of the key tensions among values that defined the culture
  • Strategies for maintaining the cored values throughout the big six worldwide organization
