Example: Leading Through Ideas
Client: Global telecommunications supplier - Europe
Business Problem
The training development group required a systematic approach for examining the relationship between the business unit’s strategic ideas and the tactical activities of the development group and its clients. This was felt to be particularly relevant to the corporation’s leadership development activities.
Solution
A set of web-based analytic tools were created based on my framework for Managing Strategic Ideas. These were presented in a group format including individual practice and application.
Results
- An interactive assessment tool allows users to analyze strategic and tactical ideas
- Web based simulations provide opportunities to practice the approach
- A practical seminar enables participants to apply the approach to their own situations .
