Client: Fortune 100 global fast food chain
Business Problem
The company was experimenting with new approach to leadership within company owned restaurants. They wanted these managers to think and act like the best of their entrepreneurial franchise managers.
Solution
A six-month pilot program was invented in which management teams in selected districts were taught to run their restaurants "like your own business." Individuals were then coached one-on-one over a six month period.
Results
The pilot program was a big success in terms of multiple business metrics:
- Same store sales and profits increased significantly
- Staff turnover was half that of restaurants in comparable districts
- Customer service scores were among the best in the region.
